AKD is offering an exciting opportunity of Mobile Plant Supervisor for a motivated and energetic person to join our Repairs & Maintenance Team in Colac. This position will provide strong leadership to our team of mechanics with a ‘hands on’ approach and a passion for continuous improvement.
This position will best suit someone with a trade certificate or previous experience in a similar position, with the key to success being the ability of the individual to coordinate daily scheduled maintenance, coordinate people and equipment to achieve high levels of safety, performance, equipment utilisation and quality.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the position requires the successful applicant to drive performance as well as being team orientated with strong communication and a solutions driven attitude. This position requires the individual to develop and maintain strong relationships with our suppliers and support our fast-paced and highly technical maintenance and operations teams. This position requires a moderate level of computer competency as well the ability to learn new systems and programs.
For the right applicant, other tasks and responsibilities could include (but are not limited to) the supervision of our maintenance workshop.
Key duties & responsibilities:
- Completed Trade Certificate is desired
- Absolute commitment to health & safety
- Previous diesel experience and/or team supervision experience is preferred
- Preventative maintenance experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as moderate computer skills
- Ability to lead and motivate others
- Good time management
- Strong commitment and desire to learn and achieve
