AKD Softwoods is a successful and integrated forestry products company, growing and manufacturing quality timber products. Employing over 400+ people, AKD Softwoods is well recognised for being a progressive company, employing the latest technologies.

We are looking for a committed, experienced and skilled forklift driver to join our dispatch team on Afternoon Shift.

The primary purpose of this position is to locate and ‘dig out’ packs of finished timber product according to required load sheets. The position will also involve training on the loading of trucks, to assist when load demands are high.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A current forklift licence.
  • Strong forklift competencies and skills.
  • Attention for detail.
  • Ability to work alone and unsupervised.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Problem solving skills to be able to plan and identify required actions.
  • Commitment to safety.

The ordinary hours for this position will be 3:50pm till 1:50am, working 4 days a week Monday to Friday on a rotating day off roster.
