AKD Softwoods is a successful vertically integrated forestry products company, growing and manufacturing quality timber products. With the business currently undergoing exciting growth and with recent acquisitions; AKD Softwoods is now a national business employing over 1000+ people and is recognised for being a growth orientated progressive company that utilises the latest technologies.

We are looking for a committed, experienced and skilled forklift driver to join our dispatch team on Afternoon Shift.

The primary purpose of this position is to locate and ‘dig out’ packs of finished timber product according to required load sheets. The position will also involve training on the loading of trucks to assist when load demands are high.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A current forklift licence
  • Strong forklift competencies, skills and experience
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively
  • Ability to work alone and unsupervised
  • Demonstrated commitment to health, safety and wellbeing

The ordinary hours for this position will be 3:50pm till 1:50am - working 4 days a week Monday to Friday with a fixed rostered day off.

This full-time position is based at our Colac site; a regional city located in the fully serviced South West Victorian region at the foothills of the Otway Ranges - 40 minutes to Lorne and The Great Ocean Road, 1 hour to Geelong and less than 2 hours to Melbourne.
