The role:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an astute self motivated person to join our team in the newly created position of Structural Timber Advisor (Sales and Marketing).

Reporting to the Sales Manager this position will work closely with both the production and sales department, focusing on identifying opportunity markets and providing engineering solutions to our customers.

Using your technical skills the objective of the role is to educate customers on the use of timber as a structural product by increasing awareness, identifying benefits and providing timber engineering/construction solutions. The role will then leverage this awareness by identifying opportunities for AKD Softwoods in fostering new markets and customer bases.

The 'right' person:

The 'right' person will be technically strong, with a natural bias towards timber solutions and, sales and marketing.

With a qualification (ideally tertiary) in Engineering, Architecture or Building Construction this role will suit a proactive, energetic and commercially focussed problem solver looking for an exciting challenge.

This position requires an autonomous achiever, who works well in a team. Attention to detail, strong communication and presentation skills and the credibility to deal with a range of internal and external stakeholders, will be important.
