We are looking for an experienced and energetic Truck Driver to join our Dispatch & Logistics team. This is an exciting opportunity based out of Geelong on an attractive afternoon shift roster for a highly motivated truck driver with a proven commitment to safety that is looking for a successful career in a progressive company.

This position requires an experienced truck driver to transport our chip and bark products from our Colac sites to Geelong and surrounds. The position will also gain training and experience in the transport of timber to and from our local Colac and Irrewarra sites as well as transport finished goods to local customers (when required).  This position is primarily based in Geelong (no interstate travel is required).

Our truck drivers are based on an attractive and rewarding pay structure with a new fleet of trucks due to arrive in the coming months.

The successful applicant will have knowledge of the Chain of Responsibility requirements as well as working within fatigue management guidelines.  This position requires the applicant to perform driving duties whilst adhering to all OH&S, legislative, site and contractual obligations.

The right candidate will have great communication skills and a friendly nature, with proven experience maintaining strong relationships with customers and contractors.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Minimum Multi-Combination (MC) licence
  • Loader license and forklift licence with experience on 5t to 16t forklifts is preferred, but not mandatory and can be provided
  • Previous hauling experience & a clear understanding of road transport legislation
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Demonstrated commitment to health, safety and wellbeing
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Positive and well composed attitude
