We are offering an opportunity for an energetic and self-motivated person to lead our team of fully qualified and training Saw Doctors as Saw Shop Supervisor.

This is a full-time, leadership position based at our Caboolture site and will involve Supervision of all aspects of Saw Doctoring and sawing performance on the Caboolture Site. The successful candidate will join the Green Process leadership team, working across boundaries to improve all aspects of operations and maintenance within the Saw Shop.

This position would suit a Qualified Saw Doctor / Saw Technician or someone with supervisory experience in a maintenance/mechanical trade and is looking for career growth and advancement with an innovative timber manufacturing business. The Caboolture Sawmill is a two-shift operation running both day and afternoon shifts with this position based on a day shift structure.

Our Saw Shop team are currently using CNC machines for Bandsaws and Circular saws. A capital investment plan is in progress to expand the Saw Shop and upgrade all key equipment centres, providing a platform for the future growth of the site and saw servicing operations.

We are offering above award wages and associated allowances as well as relocation expenses for the right candidates. Reasonable and flexible amounts of overtime is available with the role.

Key duties and responsibilities in:

  • Ensure safe work practices, commitment to zero harm
  • Sawing Performance Monitoring and Improvements
  • Saw Shop stock control
  • Machine centre Alignments
  • Sharpen and maintain all types of Saws and Knives.
  • Saw and Knife servicing and preventative maintenance
  • Continuous Improvement

The successful applicants will have:

  • A proven track record of leading a team, with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good time management, planning and prioritising  
  • Commitment to the task and a can do attitude
  • Ability to develop teams and individuals within Saw Shop/Sawmill/Machine Shop environments

Preferred qualification: Certificate III Saw Doctoring or a suitable/relevant trade qualification
